SE SALINE 74, ELLINWOOD 48 – Ellinwood’s Britton Dutton scored 30 points, but the absence of starter Parker Scheck against a physically talented Southeast of Saline team doomed the Eagles in a 74-48 non-league basketball loss Monday.

Dutton converted 12 of 18 field goals and dished out several assists for No. 3 ranked 2A Ellinwood (17-1). Mason Moore added seven points.

The Trojans (17-1) were dominant inside with jumping-jack Eli Sawyers scoring 25 points with nine rebounds and a pair of slam dunks. Luke Gebhardt (15) and Daniel Kejr (11) scored in double figures.

Ellinwood’s Bella Baker scored 15 points and Brittany Simpson added 10 points.
