KIOWA CO. 62, ST. JOHN 8

GREENSBURG -- The good news -- St. John's Andrew Miller scored on a kickoff return. And quarterback Cashe McVey, qualified for the 1A state cross country meet, will be ready to go Saturday at Wamego Country Club. Kiowa County downed the Tigers 62-8 in the 8-man season football finale for both teams.

Miller returned a kickoff 59 yards for a touchdown. McVey added the 2-point conversion. The Tigers finish the football season 0-9.

Kiowa County quarterback Cale Thompson completed touchdown passes to Brandon Boyles and Cooper Zenger and added a rushing touchdown and interception return for a score. A.J. Owens and Zenger each scored two touchdowns.
