STAFFORD – Stafford's two-year starters FB/LB Dylan Brozek; second team All-Heart of the Plains RB/LB Cody Knoche headline the Trojans' lineup.
Quarterback Jacob Simmons joins Brozek and Knoche for an experienced backfield with a goal of a 60/40 mix of running and passing with some no-huddle offense. Receivers will be Landon Baird, Knoche and James Engelbrecht.
"We'll strive for a solid play each down," said Stafford first-year coach Jeff Chambers. "We like to run scripted plays that we can polish. Our goal is to minimize offensive mistakes."
Offense always takes time to develop.
"When the guys see success, it allows them to trust our system and buy into what we're trying to do," he said. "Our offense has improved a long ways in the past few days. Defense is typically ahead of the offense."
Linebackers Brozek and Knoche will spark the defense.
