At the young age of four, Paige Wagner of Great Bend began bowling. Recently Wagner, now 12, qualified to bowl in the Junior Gold Nationals Tournament.
Wagner bowls each year in five different tournaments, and qualified for nationals by taking first place in her age division at a Pepsi Tournament in Wichita, defeating 25 other girls. The Junior Gold Nationals Tournament will take place July 15-24, in Indianapolis, Ind.
Wagner is currently raising funds to help cover the costs of attending the tournament. There will be a bake sale fundraiser from 9 a.m. to noon at P&S Security, 1705 KS-96 in Great Bend.
