Youth baseball, softball leagues forming now

The Great Bend Recreation Commission is now forming its youth summer baseball and softball leagues.
Leagues are offered for all age groups. Register your child by signing up at the GBRC office. The deadline to sign up is Friday, March 23rd.
Late Registrations will be accepted through March 30th with an increase fee.
Blast Ball — Instructional program for both parents and preschoolers to have fun learning how to throw, catch and hit. This program is offered for all 4-year-olds and 5-year-olds not yet in Kindergarten. This is a three-week evening program and the registration fee is $15. Leagues begin the week of June 4th. Participants will receive a t-shirt.
Instructional Ball — This program is offered for all Kindergarten kids. This evening instructional league provides a basic foundation to play baseball and softball. The registration fee is $15. The late registration fee is $20. All participants will receive a t-shirt. Leagues will begin the week of June 6th.
Rookie Leagues — This league are for boys and girls in the first and second grades and utilizes volunteer coaches and play in league games. Volunteer coaches will be needed for this league. The registration fee is $15. The late registration fee is $20. All participants will receive a t-shirt, caps or visors. League play will begin the week of June 6th.
Baseball and Softball Leagues — These are for boys and girls in the third through ninth grades. This league offers evening games, utilizes volunteer coaches who set up practices. These leagues will host a postseason tournament. League play will begin the week of May 29th. The registration fee is $20. The late registration fee is $25. Participants will receive T-shirts, caps or visors and pants will be provided.
