ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — The Kansas City Chiefs have signed cornerback Semaj Moody and waived cornerback Conroy Black.
Moody played wide receiver and defensive back at South Carolina State before making a name for himself with the Chicago Rush of the Arena Football League. He led the team in tackles, had three interceptions and two fumble recoveries while playing 18 games last season.
He takes the roster spot of Black, who signed with the Chiefs last month.
Black entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Raiders. He spent last season with the Lions’ practice squad before being released in May.
