Greetings from the Great Bend Public Library! Today, in addition to our Thursday regular Genealogy Corner at 11 a.m,. we will be having our monthly Great Bend Silver Screen Society movie at 7 p.m. While I can’t tell you the title (please visit our website for more info), I can tell you this month’s movie will catapult us across the Multiverse with Miles Morales, Earth 42’s one and only Spider-Man. Miles will encounter a whole team of Spider-People charged with protecting the Multiverse’s very existence. When the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles must redefine what it means to be a hero. Check out our website to get more info on the film or to join our Discord, where you can talk to other film fans, make suggestions for future films, and get updates on what’s going on with the club.

On Tuesday, we have a very special event planned. We will be hosting our first-ever Toddler-Preschool Prom. Our theme will be Enchantment Under the Sea. Dress up and join us for music, dancing, food, and fun under the sea for our littlest patrons! Don’t miss out on this super special event starting at 10:30 a.m. Then, at 11 a.m., join us for Tech Tuesday. Learn how to use your computer, email, social media, and more. We can even help you get access to our free E-books.

Wednesday is the first of the month, which means it is time for Spice of the Month! Pick up a recipe card, and a pre-measured amount of this month’s Spice of the Month, with enough to make the included recipe. Your recipe sheet will also include some interesting facts and the history of this month’s spice. Then on Thursday, May 3, at 6 p.m., the fun continues with Delicious Dishes. Join Miss Lisa to learn how to make a simple and tasty new treat. And trust us – it’s called Delicious Dishes for a reason. Come for the food, and stay for the learning.
