Wheatland Electric experienced a power outage Monday morning in Great Bend. Power was lost citywide around 9:30 a.m. and restored in about 10 minutes.

As the power went out, Wheatland reported that crews were dispatched to determine the cause and promised they would work as quickly and safely as possible to restore service. A spokesman in member services later reported that the Sunflower 115 KV Line went down and the outage was attributed to a faulty switch.
