SATURDAY, June 3


The Great Bend Tribune is at the June Jaunt Festival in downtown Great Bend (www.k96junejaunt.com)

- All day - Fire & Police Chiefs’ Badge Hunt; June Jaunt Jumbo Monopoly in stores; City Council Quest. Go to “Explore Great Bend” on Facebook for clues and more information. Also: summer sidewalk sales, outdoor vendors, jumbo yard games, MEGA Inflatable Zone, model train display.

The next live entertainment starts at 3 p.m. when Mana Vault Band takes the stage in Jack Kilby Square. Flow Foundry Aerial Performance is wrapping up its 2 p.m. show.

- Community Beer Garden - 2-11 p.m. in Jack Kilby Square, hosted by Central KS Shrine Club

- Mosaic Wall - 3-7 p.m. in Jack Kilby Square; be one of the 576 selfies to create a June Jaunt Mosaic Wall.

- Free ax throwing - 4-7 p.m. at Hatchet Axtion, 1210 Main.

- Meet Miss Kansas, Ayanna Hensley - 4:30 p.m. in Jack Kilby Square.


• Golden Belt Humane Society/Adopt-A-Pet –  10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bomgaars, 5320 10th St.


• Bushton Pride Karaoke & BBQ Night – 5-11 p.m. at the Bushton Community Center, 301 N. Main. Happy hour with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for purchase begins at 5 p.m.; barbecue meal served from 6-8 p.m. for freewill offering to the Bushton Pride Committee and karaoke from 7-11 p.m.


SUNDAY, June 4


• June Jaunt Festival – Fire & Police Chiefs’ Badge hunt; City Council Quest and June Jaunt Jumbo Monopoly in Stores. Also “Fish the Day Away.” Veterans Memorial Lake and Stone Lake are both stocked and ready for relaxing fun close to home.


MONDAY, June 5


• Builders, Assemble! – 4 p.m. in the Teen Spot at the Great Bend Public Library. Teens in grades 6-12 enjoy some LEGO challenges and put their LEGO skills to the test against their fellow teens.


WEDNESDAY, June 7


• Jammin’ Randy – 10:30 a.m. at the Great Bend Public Library. Award-winning songwriter and performer Jammin’ Randy will present a program filled with music, dancing, instruments, and fun in his “Be Kind” show. 


• Dan, Dan the Magic Man – 1 p.m. at the Hoisington Public Library. The library’s Summer Reading Program continues with special programs every Wednesday in June.


• Barton Community College Enrollment Days – Check-in at 1 p.m. at the Kirkman Visitor Center. Students can plan and enroll in their classes with an advisor, meet with a financial aid officer and finalize payment options. Visit enroll.bartonccc.edu to sign up.
