Great Bend Fire/ EMS

Great Bend Emergency Medical Service made eight ambulance runs Tuesday. Firefighters responded to a tractor-trailer’s engine compartment fire at 9:42 p.m. in the 3500 block of 10th St. The fire was controlled and extinguished. 


Great Bend Police

A non-injury crash was reported at 10:31 a.m. Tuesday at Fourth St. and SW 40 Ave.

A domestic battery was reported at 2:02 p.m. in the 1000 block of Van Buren St. 

A non-injury crash was reported at 2:14 p.m. at 11th and Main. 

A suspicious package being mailed out from the UPS United Parcel Service was reported at 6:18 p.m. The package was collected and a case was taken.

A forgery of an individual’s signature on a rental agreement was reported at 7:14 p.m. in the 1800 block of Holland St.

A fire was reported at 10:10 p.m. in the Walmart parking lot, 3503 10th St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 10:10 p.m. at Subway, 2723 10th St. 


Barton County Sheriff

A chase all units was conducted at 7:29 p.m. Tuesday, at E U.S. 56 and SE 160 Ave., Ellinwood
