Grace M. Gardner, age 58, lifelong Great Bend, Kan. resident, passed away early on Saturday morning, Aug. 6, 2022 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center in Hutchinson, Kan. Grace was born on Sept. 3, 1963 at Great Bend to James H. and Mary (Boman) Gardner. She graduated from Great Bend High School and worked as Admissions Director, Activities Director, and Certified Nurses Assistant for the former Great Bend Manor Nursing Home and later worked as Certified Nurses Assistant for the Dominican Sisters Convent in Great Bend for 13 years prior to her retirement. Grace enjoyed knitting and crocheting, attending professional wrestling events (and later watching them on television), and going to Michael Bolton concerts throughout the area in her younger days.

Survivors include one sister, Sue Meyeres of Great Bend, Kan.; two nieces, Melissa Fields of Great Bend, Kan. and Mary Vasquez of Concordia, Kan.; one nephew James (and his wife Joyce and son Anakin) Fields of Cuba, Mo. Grace was preceded in death by her parents; one sister Linda L. Fields and one brother Jack D. Boyer.

According to her wishes, cremation has been chosen and inurnment will take place in the Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend, Kan. at a later date.  Memorials may be directed to the Golden Belt Humane Society with Charter Funerals of Great Bend, Kan. in charge.
