The Great Bend Braves 16-and-under baseball team (0-5) lost to Manhattan Barn 6-1 and Canes 6-1 in weekend games.
MANHATTAN BARN 6, BRAVES 1 – Great Bend’s Jaxon Wondra scored a run and delivered two hits along with Aiden Hekele. Kale Kern doubled and Carson Poe singled.
Manhattan’s Liam Annand, Donovan Ebita and Ryker Zoeller drove home runs.
WICHITA CANES 6, BRAVES 1 – Great Bend’s Austin Gilbert scored a run and singled. Kale Kern singled.

WICHITA ELITE HOOVER 5, BRAVES 4 – Cach Reed singled home Cooper Shaw to deliver Wichita 316 Elite Hoover past the Great Bend Braves 5-4 in Thursday’s tournament.
The Braves (0-3) led 3-0 after a 3-run first inning. Kale Kern doubled home Colin Saffa. Kern scored on a passed ball. Jaxon Wondra scored on an error.
Wichita’s Scott Hadley and Shaw scored on a first-inning Braves error, but Charley Maier was thrown out at home. Shaw scored on a third-inning groundout and Parker Meirowsky scored on a wild pitch for a 4-3 lead.
Great Bend’s Colin Saffa singled home Carson Poe for a 4-4 tie after 41/2 innings. But Reed’s single off reliever Carson Poe for the game-winning fifth-inning hit.
Saffa and Kale Kern each threw two innings. Poe pitched a shutout fifth inning.
