These Golden Belt area schools have announced they will be closed or have a delayed start for Tuesday Jan, 16th. due to bad weather, road conditions and extreme windchills. 

Great Bend USD 428:

There will be NO SCHOOL on Tuesday, Jan. 16 due to the extreme cold temperatures. This decision was made for the safety of students and staff. Stay safe and warm!

Ft. Larned USD 495:

USD 495 families there will be a 2-hour delay, Tuesday, January 16th. There will be no AM preschool. This is due to the wind chill warning issued for tomorrow morning. When leaving for school in morning, make sure to wear appropriate clothing, coats, a hat and gloves. Student and staff safety is always our top priority and we appreciate your support.

Central Plains USD 112:

USD 112 will not have school tomorrow, January 16th. Stay safe and warm. A decision on the CPJH vs Ness City makeup game will be made tomorrow.

Ellinwood USD 355:

Due to inclement weather and temperatures and road conditions, USD 355, Ellinwood Public Schools, will not have school on Tuesday, January 16.  Please stay safe and warm.

Hoisington USD 431

Tuesday, January 16th, 2024, USD 431 Hoisington Schools will have a two hour delay.  There will be no AM Pre-School and Buses will run Mud Routes.

Stafford Schools will have a 2 hour late start tomorrow.  There will be no breakfast served.

St. John - Hudson USD 350

School will be delayed by 2 hours tomorrow, January 16th due to the weather conditions.  There will be no breakfast served and no morning preschool classes.
