HUTCHINSON -- Ellinwood's 2-time 3-1A state runner-up Drew Heinz competed with the best high school golfers in Kansas and tied for 11th place with a 3-over-par 74 at the newly named Rusty Hilst Golf Invitational.

Heinz tied with a 74 with nine other players with winds blowing from 15 to 25 mph. Ellinwood's Mason Moore tied for 68th in a 10-way tie at 12-over-par 83.

Derby's Jaydon Carruthers won a playoff against Olathe West's Bennett Warren after they tied at 2-under-par 69 at Carey Park Golf Course.
