MCPHERSON — Great Bend's Jacob Parks (2-2) placed 12th and Aiden Stacey (2-2) finished 13th at Thursday's McPherson Tennis Tournament.

In doubles, Great Bend's Kaden Deines/Kia Brit defeated teammates Chason Ramsey/Kaden Pounds, 8-1 for 15th place.

"I was proud of our freshman singles player Aiden Stacey going 2-2 at his first high school meet," said Great Bend coach Chris Manning. "We got a lot of nerves out of the way in our first varsity meet. We'll be ready to compete in the next couple of meets."
