LARNED -- Doyle Forrest Mayse, 64, passed away November 24, 2014 at his home, Larned.

 

He was born September 3, 1950 in Hays, the son of Emmett and Verna Clara Schneider Mayse.  A longtime resident of Larned, he worked for the KANS Radio, the Larned Police Department as a dispatcher and Supervisor, the Great Bend Police Department as a dispatcher, the Pawnee County Sheriffs Office, the Larned State Hospital and was most recently employed with the Pawnee County Sheriff’s office as an Administrative Assistant.

 

He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Larned.  He belonged to the Ham Radio Club and the Kansas Sheriff’s Association. Doyle loved to tinker with electronics and collected writing Pens.

 

Survivors include his many friends and his two pet turtles.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

 

Funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned with Pastor LeRoy Lyon presiding.  Friends may sign the register book from 9:00 am. to 8:00 p.m. Monday and Tuesday Dec. 1 and 2 at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned.  The casket will remain closed.  Burial will be in the La Crosse Cemetery, La Crosse, Kansas.

 

Memorials may be given to the Church of the Nazarene or the Kansas Sheriff’s Association, in care of the Beckwith Mortuary, P.O. Box 477, Larned, KS 67550.  Personal condolences may be left at www.beckwithmortuary.com.
