ELLSWORTH — Emily Suzanne Haxton, 39, passed away Feb. 7, 2016, in Ellsworth. Born July 23, 1976, in Beloit, she was the daughter of Melody (Ammeter) and Stephen Magette. On June 5, 1999, she married Kevin Haxton in Claflin. She was a physical therapist assistant at Ellsworth County Medical Center.
Mrs. Haxton was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Ellsworth.
Survivors include her husband, Kevin Haxton of Ellsworth; son, Avery Haxton of Ellsworth; daughter, Elyse Haxton of Ellsworth; parents, Steve and Melody Magette of Ellsworth; brother, Eric Magette (Kristin) of Eudora; sister, Amanda Kantack (Bryan) of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and brother, Adam Magette (Crystal) of Wamego.
Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Ellsworth Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday at Parsons Funeral Home in Ellsworth, and from 5 to 7 p.m. at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Ellsworth, with family present. Vigil/rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Ellsworth County Medical Center or St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Ellsworth, in care of the funeral home
