HUTCHINSON — Phyllis L. Eggers, 83, died Sept. 2, 2026, at The Arbors in Hutchinson. She was born May 12, 1943, in Ellinwood, Kan., to Cleo and Ann (Nealy) McMullen.

Phyllis graduated from Ellinwood High School and took courses at Salt City Business College. She was a realtor in Hutchinson for many years retiring from Plaza-Astle Realty.

On Sept. 22, 1962, Phyllis married Aaron Eggers. They celebrated 62 years of marriage before his passing in 2024.

Phyllis enjoyed supporting KU and HCC basketball. She was a great cook having learned from her mother-in-law. She thoroughly enjoyed a good glass of wine and a great read.

Phyllis is survived by her son, Todd Eggers of Hutchinson; daughter, Heather Eggers of Hutchinson; sister, Shirley Koch; and brother, Harold McMullen. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers.

Celebration of Life will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026, at Elliott Chapel with Pastor Nathan Foltz officiating. A private family inurnment will take place following at Lakin Comanche Cemetery in Ellinwood, Kan. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main St, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
