Wilhelmia Daye Hearn, 82, passed away March 6, 2018, at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kan. She was born May 14, 1935, at Bronx, NY, to Bill and Mary Roedel. Wilhelmia married Edward Hearn Aug. 26, 1955, at Sherman Oaks, Cal.
Wilhelmia, a retired hospital clerk, was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Great Bend, and enjoyed garage sales and cooking shows.
Survivors include husband, Edward Hearn, of the home; two sons, John Hearn and wife Cindy of El Dorado, Kan., and James Hearn of Arlington, Kan.; two daughters, Judy Schick and husband Robin of Lebo, Kan., and Jeanette Bowen and husband Tommy of Ridgeway, SC; six grandchildren, Lachelle Spencer, Mike Schick, Dallas Schick, Ashley Vogel, Evan Hearn, and Jaimie Hearn; and 13 great grandchildren.
Memorial services have been scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Bryant Funeral Home, with The Reverend Jon Brudvig. Inurnment will follow at Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorial funds may be directed to the Wilhelmia Hearn Funeral Expense Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
