Dear Editor,
The fact is walling off our southern border with Mexico would be a relatively minor engineering feat. In areas were barriers have been erected they have been very effective. Walls are not a panacea, but physical security is always a good starting point. The most vocal opponents of a wall on the border are sanctuary city types who believe an open border will help secure their reelection by pandering to their voter base.
