 HOISINGTON — After Hoisington stunned Larned’s softball team with a last-inning rally, Larned pitcher Mattie Glover shut out the Cardinals 11-0 in Tuesday’s Central Kansas League softball doubleheader. Glover was dominant with six strikeouts in a four-hit shutout.

Larned (7-7) gained a split with Hoisington (5-6) after losing a 7-3 lead in the opener.

CARDINALS 8, INDIANS 7 — Two booming home runs and four RBIs by Lynzi Myrick wasn’t enough for Larned. 
Hoisington was down 7-3 when the Cardinals staged a miraculous seventh-inning rally against Larned pitchers Baylea Perez and Mattie Glover.
Brooke Bachar singled and scored the Cardinals fourth run on Delaney Smith’s RBI double. Pinch runner Sydney Boxberger scored the fifth run on Bailee Bachar’s RBI single. Trinity Dolezel drew a bases-loaded walk for a 7-6 score on Glover, who started the game before leaving with an injury. Aurora Ingram drove home Bailee Bachar and Tyann Schremmer with the tying and game-winning runs with two out.
Dolezal’s sacrifice fly scored Brooke Bachar and Schremmer scored on a passed ball for a 2-0 lead.

Myrick’s homer made it 2-1. Myrick and Maddy Wares scored for a 3-2 larned lead. Harmon scored on a passed ball in the fourth inning for a 3-3 tie. 
Haley Skelton and Monica Clark drilled back-to-back doubles and Myrick’s two-run homer gave the Indians a 6-3 lead after five innings. Erway scored on Myrick’s groundout in the seventh inning.

INDIANS 11, CARDINALS 0 – Myrick’s double drove home Parr and R. Tracy in the first inning. Muldrow scored on Kendra Grandy’s second-inning groundout. Myrick scored on an error in the third inning.

Grandy’s two-run single scored Madison Erway and Muldrow in the fifth inning. Perez, Parr, Tracy and Muldrow all scored on sixth-inning errors and Erway scored on Baylea Perez’s groundout in a five-run inning.
