A native Kansan has returned to her home state to serve clients as an esthetician at Renue Salon, Spa & Fashion Boutique, 1419 Main, Great Bend.
Nikki Botticello, originally from Salina, recently joined Renue, offering waxing, facials and body treatments.
“I treat a wide age range of clients for conditions such as sun damage, dry skin and acne,” Botticello said. “Waxing also is a big part of my skin-care specialties. While I am aware that some people believe waxing is painful, I would enjoy the chance to surprise them.
“I use certain methods and techniques that make the process easy for my clients,” she explained. “Many of them say that if they had known that waxing doesn’t have to be uncomfortable, they would have started the treatments sooner. It is all in the technique.”
In addition, she said, the effects of waxing last up to several weeks longer than shaving.
Botticello also noted she is equipped with a Skin Classic machine that removes impurities and skin tags.
She has been at Renue only a short time but indicated that her first impressions of the salon’s services and personnel have exceeded her expectations.
“This is a beautiful facility,” she said. “There is such a variety of services for men and women performed by true professionals. Renue has it all.”
Botticello has been a licensed esthetician for 20 years and has worked in the spa industry for more than 25 years. She earned her esthetician certificate in 2003 at Las Vegas; she also attends industry conferences and completes continuing education to keep up-to-date on the latest techniques.
“I worked in spa settings in Las Vegas and the Dallas area, and opened my own studio in 2010,” she said. “This led to the 2018 opening of Smooth Effects, which was my own spa in Frisco, Texas.
“I am excited to bring my business back to my home state. It is quite gratifying to join this talented group of women at Renue.”
Botticello’s parents, Larry and Briana Apel Ernst, live in Great Bend.
