The free ice cream handed out by the Great Bend Tribune staff during Final Friday on Forest on April 29 was a hit, and several kids used the balloon ice cream cone as a photo prop.

The Tribune supplied 120 cups of ice cream from Dairy Queen and Rana Luna created the giant ice cream cone balloon.

Winners of the Tribune’s drawing and the prizes they won were: Rana Ingram, comic strip umbrella; Delores Grove, comic strip fleece blanket; and Linda Daugherty, grand prize winner of a one-year subscription to the Tribune.

“I am so excited to be the winner,” said Daugherty, whose current subscription was extended by one year. “I enjoy the newspaper and love getting it. Thanks a lot!”
