Pawnee County sees little change in COVID cases over the week
Remains at Level Yellow on risk assessment

LARNED — The Pawnee County Health Department reported a tiny drop in COVID-19 cases from last week. As of Tuesday, May 4, 1,165 cases (1 active case) were reported, which is down by one case from a week ago. Community case total (excluding Larned State Hospital, individuals in long-term care and Larned Correctional Mental Health Facility) is 623, an increase of one from last week. 

PCHD has identified 11 cases of the virus within the past 14 days and one case within the last seven days. The death total from COVID-19 in Pawnee County is 13, unchanged for almost a two-month period.

The county remains at Level Yellow on the COVID-19 risk assessment matrix, which represents a minimal to moderate risk of spreading COVID. PCHD has vaccine available. To schedule an appointment for vaccine contact the Pawnee County Health Department, 620-285-6963.
