Weekly COVID-19 cases

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (https://www.coronavirus.kdheks.gov/160/COVID-19-in-Kansas) reports there were 2,736 new cases of COVID-19 and six new related deaths statewide between Wednesday, Nov. 2, and Wednesday, Nov. 9.

The Weekly Cumulative Incident Rate for area counties covers the period from Oct. 29 through Nov. 4. The most recent five days are not included as data is expected to be incomplete.

Based on new cases, the county rates are ranked “high,” 100 or more cases per 100,000 people; “substantial,” 50-99 cases per 100,000; “moderate,” 10-49 cases per 100,000; or “low,” fewer than 10 cases per 100,000.

Here are the new cases and rankings for area counties:

• Barton, 23 - Substantial (89.2 per 100,000)

• Ellsworth, 4 - Substantial (65.6)

• Pawnee, 1 - Moderate (15.6)

• Rice, 8 - Substantial (83.9)

• Rush, 2 - Substantial (65.9)

• Russell, 16 - High (233.4)

• Stafford, 1 - Moderate (48.1)
