Isabelle A. Befort will celebrate her 95th birthday on Jan. 8 with a card shower. Born in 1918 and raised on a farm near
Liebenthal, she is the daughter of John L. and Katherine Herrman. On Sept. 8, 1941, she married Victor A. Befort in Hays, where the couple lived until 1948, and then moved to Great Bend. They were married for 53 years when Mr. Befort died in 1994. Isabelle continued to reside in Great Bend until this past November. She has two sons, Robert J. and Eugene L. Befort, both of Great Bend.
