AFree foot and blood glucose screening

A free foot and blood glucose blood screening will be held at Cardinal Pharmacy, 821 N Main, Hoisington from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 14.

If you have pain, tingling, burning, numbness and difficulty walking it can be a sign of decreased circulation in your feet. The screening will be provided by Angels Care Home Health.

Ellinwood Chamber to hold Christmas Lighting Contest

The Ellinwood Chamber of Commerce will have a Christmas Lighting Contest with judging from Dec. 15-19. Winners will be announced on dec. 21. Prizes will awarded in categories for residential and commercial.

VFW to hold New Year’s Eve party, poker tourney

The Hoisington Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, 256 S. Main, will hold a New Year’s Eve party Texas hold ‘em poker tournament from 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31 to 2 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 1, at the post home. There is no charge for the party, but there is a $2.50 fee to play in the tournament. There will cash prizes for first through third place.
