KOC to hold tournament

The Hoisington Knights of Columbus will hold a Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament at 7:30 p.m. at the KOC Hall, 114 N. Main, to raise money for charity on Jan. 8.

Lions Club to hold pancake feed

The Ellinwood Lion’s Club will host a Pancake and Sausage Feed from 8 p.m. to 1 p.m. on Jan. 23 at Ellinwood Grade School, 6th and Goethe. A free will offering will be accepted. Profits go to the eyesight program and scholarships.

Big Al Memorial Basketball Tournament to be held

The Big Al Memorial Basketball Tournament will be held Saturday at Ellinwood High School in both gyms.

Games start at 9 a.m. and at every hour following.

The championship game is at 7 p.m. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be served. All proceeds will go to the Alan Fullbright Memorial Scholarship.

That was the goal 5 years ago. During this time we have also given $500 in scholarships.
