Approximately four acres of wheat stubble were burned in a field fire Tuesday afternoon. Great Bend Fire Department dispatched trucks to a field 3.5 miles south of town on U.S. 281 around 4:55 p.m. Fire Chief Mike Napolitano said a hot bearing on the combine started the fire.
