Great Bend Fire Department

Firefighters made 10 ambulance runs on Tuesday and three on Wednesday. There were no fires.

 

Kansas Highway Patrol

Radonna K. Brandenburg, 59, of Russell, was taken to Russell Regional Hospital on Friday after the pickup she was driving went of I70 Road in Russell County. Kansas Highway Patrol reports she was eastbound on the road 0.3 miles west of 188th St. at 9:40 p.m. and lost control of the vehicle on sand. It slid into the south ditch rolling one time. She was wearing a seat belt.

 

Great Bend Police

Theft of a license plate from 2424 19th St. was reported Tuesday.

A vehicle driven by Madison Unruh was westbound on 19th St. at 5:33 p.m. Tuesday and struck a vehicle driven by Kristen Baker, who was stopped in traffic.

Theft of a breaker box outside the residence at 219 Elm St. was reported Wednesday.

A vehicle driven by Karla Kraft was eastbound on 10th St. at McKinley at 12:02 p.m. Wednesday and struck a vehicle driven by Marjorie Cotten, who was turning south onto McKinley.

Damage to the lawn at 1205 Morton St. was reported Wednesday after someone drove through the yard.

A burglary at 1105 Pyle St. was reported Thursday. Several items were taken from the residence.

A vehicle driven by Nathan Clanton was southbound on Morphy St. turning east onto 12th at 4:53 p.m. Thursday and struck a vehicle driven by Pamela Wallgren, who was eastbound on 12th St.

At 4:26 a.m. Friday, the theft of a 1998 Ford F-150 pickup from 2604 Williams St. was reported. The license number was entered into the National Crime Information Center. At 6:35 a.m., Salina Police Department reported the pickup had been located and impounded at the SPD.

 

Barton County Sheriff

A hit-and-run vehicle struck a vehicle in a parking lot at 3322 Railroad Ave., Great Bend, it was reported Thursday night.

At 3:14 a.m. Friday, a car was found on top of some old railroad ties at Railroad Ave. and Washington St. The vehicle was unoccupied and its owner could not be found.
