Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made six ambulance runs on Tuesday.
At 1:02 p.m. they responded to a grass fire, caused when a controlled burn at 398 NE 40 Ave. became uncontrolled.

A vehicle driven by Darrell Ryan backed from a parking stall on Main St. at 10:24 a.m. Monday and struck a vehicle driven by Mark Freel.
A vehicle driven by Elmer Showalter was eastbound stopped at the stop light on 10th St. at 11:54 a.m. Monday and struck a vehicle in front of him driven by Kenneth Mulch.
Theft of a veteran’s vehicle tag from 2612 Rock Bridge Road was reported Monday.
A vehicle driven by Alexis Woods backed into a parked vehicle in the 5600 block of Broadway and left the area, around 3:14 p.m. Monday. At 3:20 p.m., Woods was driving north on Cherry, turning east onto Hemlock, and struck a vehicle driven by a juvenile, who was at the stop sign facing west.
A vehicle driven by Chris Wonsetler was westbound on Eighth St. at 3:26 p.m. Monday and struck a vehicle driven by Francisco Fabela-Perez, who was stopped at the stop sign. That vehicle then struck a vehicle driven by Enrique Lira Jr., who was also stopped at the stop sign.
A motorist in a green Mercury Cougar reportedly left without paying for $51 worth of fuel, at 5:35 p.m. Monday at 3620 10th St.
At 2:50 Tuesday a.m., police received a report that an unknown hit-and-run driver had struck a parked vehicle at Ninth and Morton. Driver driver left the vehicle in the middle of the roadway and left on foot.
Theft of money from a residence at 1807 Polk St. was reported Tuesday.

Barton County Sheriff
Theft of a condenser from an old truck at 31 SE 10 Road reportedly occurred around 8 p.m. Tuesday.
