Barton County Sheriff

A vehicle driven by Leon Steiner hit a deer on East K-4 and NE 150 Ave. at 7:18 a.m. Thursday.

A vehicle driven by James Vance hit a deer in the 1200 block of NE 130 Ave., at 9:09 a.m. Thursday.

A vehicle driven by Elizabeth Calp hit a guard rail at 561 South Main at 6:41 p.m. Thursday.

A vehicle driven by Jessica Thayer was westbound on K-4 at mile marker 131, around 2:30 a.m. Friday, when Thayer swerved to miss an animal in the roadway, over corrected, lost control and entered the south ditch, rolling several times. She refused treatment at the scene and officials were unable to locate a dog that was in the vehicle.

A $50.86 gas skip was reported at 9:16 p.m. Thursday at 2334 Main.

An alleged sex offense was reported at 2:11 p.m. Thursday in Great Bend.

Theft of property at 1649 K-96 was reported at 9:10 a.m. Thursday.

Theft of a Jeep Cherokee from 2216 11th St. was reported Friday. The vehicle was located on SE Road and returned to the owner.

Theft of a suitcase with men’s clothing from a vehicle at 1703 Adams St. was reported Friday.

A burglary in progress at 1033 Adams St. Apt. C was reported at 4 a.m. Friday.
