Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made seven ambulance runs Thursday, seven Friday, five Saturday and six Sunday.
They performed a carbon monoxide check at 2618 Paseo on Saturday but found nothing.
At 8:35 a.m. Sunday they performed a CO check at 3910 Cedar Park Place and found carbon monoxide. The gas was shut off until repairs could be made.
At 5:53 p.m. Sunday firefighters extinguished a mattress that was on fire in the alley behind 2617 17th St.
At 3:05 a.m. Monday, they responded to a fire alarm at Great Bend Middle School. A smoke detector had been activated due to malfunction.
