Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters had six Emergency Medical Service calls on Monday and six on Tuesday.
At 7:44 p.m Tuesday, burning food on a stop stove caused a fire alarm to go off at the High Rise. There was no fire.

Barton County Sheriff
At 4:54 p.m. on Friday, two vehicles collided at NE 40 Road and NE 10 Ave.
Hope Chubb was reportedly driving east on NE 200 Road around 12:01 a.m. Saturday when she swerved to miss a deer. The vehicle went into a ditch and rolled onto its side. She was not injured.
A vehicle driven by Robert D. Howard struck a deer in the 600 block of SE 20 Road at 7:10 a.m. on Saturday.
A vehicle driven by Scott Stein rolled at 5:45 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of the Two Mile Blacktop (SE 20 Road). Kansas Highway Patrol responded.
Theft of fuel from 421 Washington was reported Monday, along with damage to property.
A Ford Expedition hit a deer at 7:12 a.m. Wednesday on NE 100 Ave. and NE 80 Road.

Great Bend Police
Theft of $620 from a residence at 2013 Baker Ave. Lot 2 was reported Monday.
A burglary at 1401 Madison St. was reported. Someone entered the garage and stole change from a vehicle.
A $20.05 gas skip at 2334 Main was reported at 10:39 a.m. Monday.
A vehicle driven by Ronald Seidel Jr. was westbound in the 2500 block of Broadway at 4:12 p.m. Monday and struck a vehicle driven by Alex Reed, who was stopped waiting to turn.
A $67.10 gas skip was reported at 8:57 p.m. Tuesday at 1001 Main.
Theft of a Dell laptop computer and a DVD player from 2700 Washington St. was reported Tuesday night.
