Suspect found, arrested after allegedly beating woman


Great Bend Police responded to a domestic call at 5:13 p.m. Tuesday in the 2300 block of 12th St. A female was reportedly beaten up, but did not require an ambulance.
Randy Moore was arrested and booked into the Barton County Jail on charges that included aggravated battery. Bond was set at $20,000, with two additional bonds of $2,500 each for probation violation warrants.
Jonathan Stemm was arrested at 2316 12th for allegedly hiding Moore in the house. He was booked on a felony obstruction charge and was released Wednesday after posting a $5,000 bond.

Great Bend Fire/EMS
Unlawful burning was reported at 3:04 p.m. Wednesday at 2523 11th St.
Firefighters made 10 ambulance runs Tuesday and five Wednesday.

Someone keyed a vehicle at 2414 Walnut Dr., it was reported Tuesday.
A vehicle driven by Renee Phillips backed into a parked vehicle at 12:42 p.m. Tuesday at 1425 Park Ave.
Vehicles driven by Mary Allen and Hugo Hernandez collided at 3:05 p.m. at 10th and Williams.
Child In Need of Care (CINC) cases were taken Tuesday and Wednesday.
Theft of medication from 5850 Cherry Pl. D was reported Wednesday.
A vehicle driven by Adam Walker rear-ended a vehicle driven by Thomas Coleman at 12:09 p.m. Wednesday in the 1500 block of 10th St.
A $50.47 gas skip was reported at 4:17 p.m. at 1315 10th St.
A known person allegedly stole shirts from 3503 10th St. The shirts were returned.
A hit-and-run vehicle struck a vehicle driven by George Fabin at 5:34 p.m. after reportedly running the stop sign at 17th and Williams St.
A narcotics arrest was made at 10:22 p.m. in the 3800 block of 10th St.
Theft from a newspaper machine at 2100 16th St. was reported early Thursday.

Barton County Sheriff/911 calls
Two vehicles collided at 6:10 a.m. Tuesday at 10th and Garfield, Great Bend.
A house fire at 510 E. Third St., Hoisington, was reported at 9:02 a.m.
Criminal damage to property at 2414 Walnut Dr., Great Bend, was reported.
A burglary was reported at 2541 Seventh St., Great Bend.
Theft from the Dollar General store at 62 West K-4, Hoisington, was reported at 5:55 p.m. Tuesday. A male came in and took an item.
Items were taken from a pickup at 4 NW 30 Road, A7L6, sometime Tuesday night.
Glass tubes were stolen off a pumping unit at NW 20 Ave. and NW 190 Road, it was reported Wednesday.
