Great Bend Fire/EMS

Emergency crews responded to eight ambulance runs on Tuesday.

There were two fire calls. The first call was for a smoke detector malfunction; the second call came in at 3:59 p.m. for a fire in the 100 block of South U.S. 281. There was no damage reported.

Theft was reported at Wal-Mart located at 3503 10th St.

Theft was reported at 1033 Adams St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 213 Hubbard St.

Theft was reported at Dollar General located at 2400 10th St.

Theft was reported at Super 8 located at 911 Grant St.


Barton County Sheriff

Theft was reported at 1081 NW 40 Ave. in Hoisington.

A non-injury crash was reported in the 500 block of North U.S. 281.

A non-injury crash was reported at West Barton County Road.

An injury crash was reported at Fort Zarah located at 330 east U.S. 56.
