Great Bend Fire/EMS

Emergency Medical Service had five calls on Friday, eight on Saturday and one on Sunday

A structure fire was reported at 4:50 p.m. Friday at 2310 11th Street.


Barton County Sheriff 

A non-injury crash was reported at 7:09 a.m. Saturday in the 400 block of NW 10 Ave.

A battery was reported Sunday evening at the Barton County Detention Center.


Great Bend Police

Theft of a credit card was reported Friday at 1307 Roosevelt St. The card was used multiple times.

Police responded to a report of a battery at Lincoln Elementary School.

An individual reported getting a phone call in Manhattan from someone falsely claiming to be from the GBPD wanting money.

A caller reported someone using her information to get a credit card.

An injury crash was reported at 5:23 p.m. Friday at 19th and Main. One motorist reportedly ran a red light and struck a second vehicle; the second driver was transported to the hospital.

A fraud case was reported after someone bought a power washer from Sears, paid for it with a check and then stopped payment on the check, keeping the power washer.

Items were reportedly stolen from a vehicle burglarized outside Charly’s Authentic Mexican Food, 1432 10th St.

Someone keyed a pickup in the 2100 block of 24th St., it was reported Saturday.

Theft of a credit card was reported at 3015 Broadway Ave. The card was used at Wal-Mart.

A theft was reported at Stoneridge golf club, 1438 24th St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 8:03 p.m. Sunday at Broadway and Harrison. A southbound motorist failed to yield right of way to an eastbound vehicle.
