GALAXY FAR, FAR AWAY Ever since the wildly successful release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens last December, the internet has had some serious fever inspired by George Lucas sci-fi galaxy. There have been mashups involving jewelry making and even Mario Kart, all to rousing success. People cant get enough of two great things coming together.
The latest mashup pulled off by CorridorDigital on YouTube merges two worlds that go together perfectly: Star Wars and drones.
Using racing drones and some 3-D printed cockpits, the guys at CorridorDigital created a Star Wars-esque chase scene for the ages, featuring R2-D2 flying a model X-wing while being chased by a nefarious TIE fighter. The video is both fascinating from a drone and Star Wars fanboy standpoint.
Flying with cameras trying to chase each other, like, without having choreographed it, theres going to be a couple of crashes, one of the CorridorDigital team members said in a behind-the-scenes video. Its going to be glorious.
He wasnt wrong.
