Angela Rae Collier, 64, died Nov. 15 at Select Specialty Hospital, Wichita. Born July 5, 1950 at El Dorado, she was the daughter of James L. and Lavina (Parks) Hanks.
Angela was a Great Bend resident for 32 years coming from Cheney. She was an associate cashier for Wal-Mart and previously for Dillons. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church.
Survivors include her partner for life, J.R. Meyeres, of the home; her mother, Lavina Hanks, Great Bend; a son, Brian (Amanda) Trudeau, Great Bend; a daughter, Angela (Florencio) Garcia, Great Bend; two sisters. Caroline McCune (Brad), and Diana Osburn, both of Great Bend; three brothers: James L. Hanks, Jr. (Jean), Great Bend, Terry Hanks (Darla), Otis and Steven Hanks (Connie) of Winfield; and five grandchildren: Alex, Tony, Marissa, Carlos and Khloe. She is preceded by her father, James L. Hanks, Sr.
Funeral service will be Friday, Nov. 21, at 11 a.m. at Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend, with Pastor Ken Gray officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. all at Bryant Funeral Home. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend.
