ALBERT — Bernice (Martinez) Cross, 75, died Oct. 20, 2014 in Wichita.
She was born on July 13, 1939, in Placitas Blanca, N.M. On Sept. 29, 1955, she married Jerry Cross. She was a homemaker, cook, and waitress.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Cross, three sons, Daniel (Judy) Cross, Ellis; Gary Cross, Delores, Colo.; and Andrew “A.J.” Cross, Hill City; three daughters, Shawnee Cross, Albert; Elaine (Jeff) McKeever, Hill City; and Sadie (Jan) Keith, Otis; father Tony Martinez, Delores, Colo.; a brother Joe (Magda) Ulibarri, Phoenix, Ariz.; three sisters, JoAnn (LeRoy) Burnett and Maxine Lopez, both of Olathe, Colo., and Olivia (Carlos) Garduno, Denver, Colo.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Margarita Maestas; a brother, Sal Maestas; two sisters, Alex Lopez and Vicky Gonzales; and two sons, Rocky Cross, Phillip Cross and Jeffery Cross.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Stinemetz Funeral Home in Hill City. There will be no visitation. Memorials are suggested to the Great Bend Dialysis Center.
