ELLINWOOD — Chad W. Henkle, 37, died June 2, at Ellinwood District Hospital. Born April 25, 1974, in Great Bend, he was the son of Robert Henkle and Karen Rehme Herrenbruck. He attended Ellinwood High School. An Ellinwood resident for the past 25 years, formerly of St. John, he was employed by Pawnee County Co-op as the ag fertilizer terminal manager in Ellinwood. On April 30, 1999, he married Denise Dietz in Great Bend.
Survivors include his wife, Denise, of the home; a son, Wyatt Henkle of the home; a daughter, Shelby, of the home; his father, Robert Henkle of Newton; his mother Karen Herrenbruck of Ellinwood; a brother, Shane Herrenbruck of Ellinwood; a sister, Melissa Mead of Larned; and his grandfather, Walter (Norms) Rehme of Miami, Okla.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at Peace Church north of Hudson with the Rev. Wade Russell officiating. Burial will be at the Peace Church cemetery near Hudson. Friends may call from 1-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested the Henkle Children Education Fund.
