HOISINGTON — Gwen Loreg, 77, died July 27, 2013 at her home in Hoisington.
She was born Feb. 12, 1936 at Nowata, Okla., the daughter of Charles Russell and Opal Clata (Tate) DeMoss.
Gwen married Mike Loreg, Jr. on Nov. 18, 1960 at Madison, Ark.  He survives. A Hoisington resident since 1965 coming from Nowata, Okla., Mrs. Loreg was a homemaker and operated an antique store for many years. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Hoisington. She loved to crochet and spend time with her family.  She also had a passion for antiques and dishes.
Survivors include her mother, Opal DeMoss, LaCrosse; her husband Mike Loreg, Jr., of the home; three daughters, Sheri Hays and husband Ron, Salina; Debby Merrill and husband Sid, Buffalo, Wyo.; Loree Boyle and husband Bill, St. John; a son: Mike Loreg, III and wife Brenda, Attica; two brothers, Vernon DeMoss, Hoisington; Phil DeMoss, Hoisington; a sister, Phyllis Hansuld of Kansas City, Mo.; and 11 grandchildren,  Timothy Hays, Angelea Katz, Nikolaus Boyle, Kristoffer Boyle, Justin Loreg, Jennifer Rausch, Jessie Loreg, Mike Loreg IV, Jimmy Banta, Joshua Banta and  Russell Merrill; eight great-grandchildren, Kelsi Hays, Kara Hays, Trenton Hays, Caleb Hays, Juels Loreg, Noah Loreg, Aden Rausch, and Kayleigh Rausch.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles DeMoss, a brother, Ancile DeMoss, and a sister, Beverly Price.
Funeral Service is scheduled at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home with Rev. Don Fisher officiating. Interment will be at Paradise Center Cemetery, Codell, at 2 p.m.
Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home.
