CIMARRON – Harry "Rudy" R. Louis, 68, died Nov. 28 at the Shepherd’s Center, Cimarron. He was born Dec. 29, 1941, at Wichita, the son of Harry Edward and Madge Alberta Stone Louis. He received his Specialty Degree from UCLA. He taught school for six years in Pratt and in 1974 developed the middle school in Hugoton. He was a school administrator for 32 years, serving as high school principal in Holcomb and Cimarron, and retired in June 2002.

Mr. Louis was a member of the Cimarron United Methodist Church, Lions Club, Kansas Association of Secondary School Principals, United Schools Administrators, former board member of the American Red Cross and former church council member.

On Aug. 3, 1969, he married Connie Spencer at Pratt.

Survivors include his wife, of Cimarron; two daughters, Dawn Louis, Cimarron, and Nicole Louis-Robbins, Parkville, Mo.; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Cimarron United Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Danforth presiding. There will be no public visitation. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Louis Children College Fund, The Shepherd’s Center or the American Alzheimer’s Association, all in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 446, Cimarron, KS 67835.
