Jon A. Kubitscheck, 57, died Dec. 26, 2015, at Great Bend Regional Hospital. He was born Oct. 11, 1958, at Liberal, the son of Joseph L. and Viola Mae (Weigel) Kubitscheck. A Great Bend resident since the mid ’90s, coming from Minturn, Colo.,  Jon was a mechanic by trade and worked in the construction industry.
Mr. Kubitscheck was a member of the Catholic faith and the American Legion Argonne Post 180, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include a brother, Larry Kubitscheck and wife Sharon of Great Bend; and two sisters, Sharon Spurlock and Jolene Hampton, both of Bryan, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, Ron Kubitscheck.
Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Great Bend with Father Ted Stoecklein, officiant. Inurnment will be at Great Bend Cemetery.
