Joyce S. Zook 1916 - 2011

ST. JOHN — Joyce S. Zook , 94, died May 18, at Leisure Homestead in St. John. Born Nov. 7, 1916, in rural Pawnee County, she was the daughter of Leonard Snowberger and Nellie Talbott. A lifetime resident of Pawnee County, she was a homemaker. On Feb. 11, 1940, she married Daniel W. Zook, at Larned. He died Oct. 12, 1962.

Mrs. Zook was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Larned, and was a 4-H leader for 14 years.

Survivors include one daughter, Rebecca "Becky" Clowers of Centennial, Colo.; three sons, David and Owen both of Larned and Warren of Knoxville, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, at Morell Funeral Home, with Paul Wagoner presiding. Burial will be at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Zook. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home in Larned. Memorial donations may be sent to the Pawnee County 4-H Foundation or the Zook Community Building, in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be left at www.morellfuneralhomellc.com.
