DODGE CITY — Kathy Ruth Lewis, 60, died Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Western Plains Medical Complex. She was born May 13, 1957 at Coffeyville, Kan., the daughter of Virgil Lewis and Ruth Lisenby (Rowe). Kathy moved to Dodge City in 1985.
Kathy was happy working at Arrowhead West as a private document shredder. She could light up a room. She loved music, dancing and people. She always had earrings on and had to show them to everyone. She was proud of her family and always excited when a new baby was born. Kathy was also an aunt 52 times. Her family and friends will miss her dearly.
Survivors four sisters, Sharon (Orin) Allen, of N. Sioux City, S.D., Grace Schroeder, of Sealy, Texas, Carol (Dave) Thacker, of Great Bend, Kan., Karen (Roy) Shrader, of Bird City, Kan.; three brothers, Marvin Lewis, of Great Bend, Kan., Delbert (Lucille) Lewis, of Great Bend, Kan., and Chuck Lisenby, Great Bend, Kan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil Lewis, Ruth and Roger Lisenby; brother, Kenneth Lewis.
Memorial services will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Foundry United Methodist Church, Great Bend, Kan. There will be no public visitation, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Arrowhead West, in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas, 67801.
