PRATT — Marian J. Epp, 79, of Pratt, went quietly from this earth to her eternal peace on May 3. She was born on Dec. 24, 1931, near Cullison, to Billy C. and Alma Jenkins. Marian married Paul G. Epp on Nov. 28, 1953, and was a member of the Lutheran Church.
Marian was a proud graduate of the University of Kansas School of Music and was an active member of the Kansas Music Teachers Association. She loved being a wife, mother and grammy.
Marian impacted countless lives as she shared her love of music by teaching piano and organ for over 50 years. Her joy for music was overshadowed only by the love for her KU Jayhawk basketball team and her very own Princess.
Survivors include a son, Craig and wife Sharon of Waco, Texas; a daughter, Jil and husband Steve of Great Bend; grandchildren Brandon and wife Jessica Epp, Brett Epp, Shelley Mathews, and Lyndsee and Mitch Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul on Nov. 4, 2010; her parents; as well as an infant son Bruce; and an infant grandson Christopher Johnson.
A private family burial has taken place. A Celebration of Life service will be held 10:30 a.m. on Saturday June 4, at Larrison Mortuary in Pratt. Donations may be made in her honor to The University of Kansas School of Music. Friends may leave condolences for the family at www.larrisonmortuary.com.
