Nancy Ann Zeilinger, 68, died April 20, 2016, at Great Bend Regional Hospital. She was born Jan. 28, 1948, and then placed in the Emmanuel Deaconess Orphanage on April 3, 1948, as an act of love from her birth parents. She was adopted by the Rev. Otto L. and Dorothy (Sandrock) Zeilinger on Sept. 9, 1948, and taken home to Hildreth, Neb., to be with her big “adoctored” brother, Neal. Shortly after, the family received the call to serve Peace Lutheran Church in Albert. She attended grades one through six at Elm Grove School in Rush County. She graduated from Wymore High School in Wymore, Neb., and then received a Bachelor of Science degree from Bethany College in Lindsborg. She moved back to Great Bend in 1989 and in 2013 retired after 20 years as a Regulatory Affairs Specialist at Venture Corporation in Great Bend.
Nancy was of the Lutheran faith.
Survivors include one brother, the Rev. Dr. Neal Otto Zeilinger and his wife Rhonda of St. Joseph, Mo.; two nieces, Laura Hauck and her husband Troy and Rebecca Zeilinger; and one grand-nephew, Nicholis Hauck. She was preceded in death by brother, James Konrad.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at Peace Lutheran Church in Albert with Pastor Shelly Klingensmith officiating. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
