GREAT BEND — Pam Jackson, 62, died April 7, 2015 at her home in Great Bend.
She was born March 20, 1953 at Prague, Okla., the daughter of Edwin Harold and Carley M. (Smith) Day
She was a 1971 graduate of Great Bend High School. She married Randy Short in October 1971. They later divorced. She then married Edd Jackson Aug. 28, 1982 at Great Bend.
She worked for Midwest Machinery and Great Plains, was co-owner of P&K Kleaners, and worked for 22 years at Portraits by Shane and 17 years at TLC Discoveries, until illness forced her retirement in December 2011.
Mrs. Jackson was a Great Bend resident since 1954 coming from Prague, Okla. She was a lifetime member of Central Baptist Church, where she taught children’s Sunday School and was active in the choir and handbells, and served as a soloist and on the Diaconate Board.
Survivors include her husband: Edd Jackson, of the home; her mother, Carley Day, Great Bend; three sons, Chris Short and his wife Jennifer, Andover; Daylin Short, Lakewood, Colo.; and Jeff Jackson and his wife Alexandra, Olpe; a brother, Mike Day and his wife Joan, Pratt; seven grandchildren, Matthew Short, Christiane Short, J.T. Short, Claire Short, Halle Short, Evie Jackson and Sophia Jackson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edwin H. Day in August 2010.
Funeral Service is scheduled at 10 a.m., Saturday at Central Baptist Church in Great Bend with The Reverend John Grummon and The Reverend Kathie Sharp officiating. Interment will be at the Great Bend Cemetery.
Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorial Funds are suggested to the Central Baptist Church or TLC Discoveries, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
