LARNED — Patricia L. Young, 76, died March 3 at Great Bend Regional Hospital. Born Dec. 2, 1934 in Larned, she was the daughter of Clarence Gordon Hammond and Leora Nulf Hammond Kristufek. Moving from Rural Edwards County to Larned in 1973, she was the Administrator for Hammond Holiday Home. On Feb. 2, 1983 she married Lewis C. Young at Colorado Springs, Colo. He survives.

Mrs. Young was a member of the Garden Club in Larned.

Other survivors include. her mother, Leora, Wilson; five sons, Jerry Fox of Muskogee, Okla., Tom Fox of Osawatome, Tim Fox of Benton, Ted Fox of Towanda, and John Fox, of Liberty Hill, Tx.; a step-son, Michael Young of Aurora, Colo.; five daughters, Carolyn Willis of Fall River, Shirley Hammeke and Nancy Bradford both of Larned, Rosalie Norris of Loveland, Colo., and Connie Bell of Olpe; two step-daughters Susan Motta of Merritt Island, Fla. and Nancy Fox of Benton; a sister, Barbara Fox of Wilson; 30 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by, a son, Dan Fox; two brothers, Jim Dale Hammond and David Hammond; and a grandchild.

Funeral were at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with the Pastor Rob Schmutz presiding. Burial was at the Larned Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the Angel Flight Central in care of the funeral home. Personal condolences may be left at www.beckwithmortuary.com.
